I’m not a sceptic but a believer actually but I found your post while searching for Donald Trump and the antichrist. There are a load more verses that also fit DT. Like prophecy from Daniel about the ‘little horn’ (Trump-et), how the antichrist is described as being ‘stouter than his fellows’ and more.
2 Thessalonians describes the antichrist as a proudly lawless man. In chapter 2:
9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie
I'm not Christian anymore but if I was MAN I would be nervous he was the antichrist. As it is I don't see how some “Christians” can support someone so blatantly opposed to everything Jesus preached.
I think it’s a form of cultlike brainwashing, and I know some people have been thinking that the Trump idolatry is the strong delusion.
I only became a Christian in the last few years. Before that I was in the new age, and was listening to psychics who were talking about Trump being a ‘lightworker’ here to save humanity etc, etc. Through learning about the deception of the new age, I realised these psychics were channelling demons who gave them their info.
So it was mind boggling to me that there are also Christians who think he’s a saviour. What made you stop becoming a Christian?
Something deep in soul unsettles me about this man. Daniel 9, 2 Thessalonians, Matthew 24, Luke 21, Revelation 13 amongst others are instructive , but also consider events around Ezekiel 37-39 and Isaiah 17.
He certainly has as number of the qualities of an Antichrist and the timing of the emergence of this figure after the Jews prophesied return to Israel matches. A significant portion of the elect do seem to be besotted with him (…if that were possible).
