What’s up, nonbelievers, doubters, and skeptics?
Do you ever see people walking around with earbuds in and wonder what they’re listening to?
One of my favorite things to do is walk. Walk and listen to audiobooks.
Or podcasts.
Or music.
Sometimes The Tortured Poets Department. My girlfriend is a Swiftie (among many other beautiful, wonderful things), so I’ve been a little hooked on Tay lately.
I have a feeling that few people look at me and think “That guy’s listening to Taylor Swift right now.”
Sometimes I walk around wearing an atheist T-shirt. It’s not to be provocative; it’s honestly the most comfortable shirt I own.
Also, it was a gift. (Shoutout JOHN!)
It definitely is funny wearing a shirt like that in Tennessee.
I get double-takes from people as they pass.
I walked past a couple the other day, and a guy’s shirt had “House of God” on it. I jokingly made a TikTok about our opposing shirts:

And of course, some people think that I’m serious because they live in a constant state of being a human volcano, ready to erupt at any moment.
Sorry for having an opinion and a sense of humor, Gianni.
People think I’m an instigator… that I’m always out to start trouble with Christians.
When I was walking in downtown Chattanooga that day, I saw Christians on the walking bridge, holding a sign that said “Free Prayers.” Know what I did? Not a goddamn thing. Kept walking.
Because I was chicken? No. Because they’re free to do that.
He Really Called 911?
I love doing subtle satire.
A lot of my posts are me pretending to be a fundamentalist Christian just to see who think I’m being serious. I have fun with it.
People will comment “It’s hard to tell what’s satire and what’s not these days…”
And they’re right.
I came across a video of this insufferable guy, thanks to
.I really thought it was satire at first.
The guy called 911 to witness to the dispatcher?? This is a whole next level of wild.
And the sad part is that a lot of people will support what he did.
“What’s more important that winning souls to Christ? What’s more important than saving people from hell? Isn’t that worth being uncomfortable or making someone else uncomfortable?”
Or…in this case...breaking the law.
Which leads me to the next video I saw of his…
Yeah, that’s him witnessing to his public attorney, whom I’m guessing is his public attorney for doing this exact same thing to the 911 operator.
Bro… learn your lesson.
It’s this kind of over-the-top, dramatic, theatrical-type performance witnessing that makes people not want to be around people like this.
Comments From Christians
This is such a tired take:
Wendi, Wendi, Wendi…
This is a false dichotomy. Your god or no god isn’t the only possibility.
You have everything to lose, too. If it turns out there’s some kind of god who hates Christians more than atheists, you’re a lot more screwed that I am.
And, besides that, we KNOW that we have this life. We’re all experiencing it. You may think that you get to frolic in the afterlife, but you don’t know that for sure.
You could be spending the one life we know we get on living for a god that’s not there. Sure, when you die, you won’t know the difference, but that’s kind of a sad existence, isn’t it?
I made a post about how Christianity just didn’t make sense to me anymore, and I had a barrage of comments demanding that I explain what didn’t make sense about it.
Well, for starters, people generally don’t un-die after a few days.
You can listen to my whole story HERE if you haven’t heard it before and want to check that out.
There are a lot of things that don’t make sense about Christianity, and once you zoom out from what you’ve been taught, that becomes clear. I’m not saying that Christians are wrong or stupid or anything; I understand that faith is the cornerstone for their beliefs, but there’s no good reason for me to believe what they do.
This is another comment on that same post.
Instead of believing that the devil led me astray, how about neither of them exist?
I don’t think there’s some invisible battle for souls going on.
Christian Bio of the Week
This is… a lot.
I know that a lot of Christians are flat earthers, therefore believing that space isn’t real, but don’t they at least believe in the space BAR?
As I said in my last post, I’m reading The Demon-Haunted World by Carl Sagan, so I’ll leave you with a quote from that book:
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.
Religion can be very satisfying. It does help people, but wouldn’t you rather believe in true things rather than things that make us feel good?
I think many people use god as a crutch because they can’t fathom a world of any uncertainty.
Consider joining ExChristianCommunity.com! It’s a private space for nonbelievers to have discussions, and the first 100 people in will be founding members!
We’re currently at 38 members. We’ll be doing live calls and having book discussions once 50 people are in!
You don’t need a god to be good!
Until next time,
Kevin
Great as always Kevin! We should get together and walk. I have a plethora of great Atheist shirts. Really get the natives worked up LOL.
