What’s up nonbelievers, doubters, and skeptics?
Before I say anything else, let me say this: The election is just a handful of days away. GO VOTE!
Early voting is happening in most states already. I know you might feel like your vote doesn’t matter, but, I assure you, it does!
An Atheist Reads the Bible
After years of exploring various podcast themes and formats, I’m pivoting the Jesus Unfollower podcast into a brand new project: An Atheist Reads the Bible.
I read the Bible as a Christian. I read the New Testament many times. Admittedly, I only read the Old Testament once, so I want to go back through and re-read as a nonbeliever.
Also, I get many comments from Christians that say “Bro, just read the Bible, and you’ll understand,” or “you’ve obviously never read the Bible.” Now, I’ll just be able to be like… “You can listen to me read and react to the whole fucking thing on my podcast!”
Another reason I’m doing this is because I asked my Instagram followers if they’d like this, and the answer was an overwhelming “yes.”
This podcast shift allows me to give you more consistent, meaningful content and share an experience that feels both fun and informative. AARB will be available as a public podcast, with extra bonus episodes and behind-the-scenes content on Patreon for those who want even more and want to support what I do.

Now, for some…
Comments From Christians
This is confirmation bias. How many people have died for several minutes and NOT had any experience of seeing gods? Are their accounts just cast aside?
It’s likely that the people who saw god have been taught about god, right? I don’t know a lot about near-death experiences, but I’m pretty sure our brains release an insane amount of chemicals in that process. Couldn’t that alter our perception of reality?
So, in her mind, the last time that someone “put hate in God,” it was Saul-turned-Paul?
Well, I guess at least I’m not a lower-level devil.
I have no idea how they still don’t get that the problem is religion, not god.
Correct. I don’t believe gods are real, but billions of others do.
Little does Marketh know that I have an earpiece where Satan is feeding me all my lines.
Timothy, what if, hypothetically, people’s beliefs could change? Mind-blowing, I know.
I bet you don’t call people who convert to Christianity from other religions “liars,” do ya?
People aren’t demons. Why do you think demons exist in the first place, yourpoisontree?
You heard it here first: men are more important!
Did I mention how important it is to vote? People like rydahmckee are voting.
Them: “The universe can’t create itself.”
Also them: “God has always been there.”
What if… matter has always been there?
Too lazy to believe. Interesting. How does that even work?
This reminds me of a Christian business conference I (unfortunately) went to a few years ago. There was a speaker on stage who was talking shit about atheists. He said something very similar to this.
“Atheists will believe one day” is pretty much the laziest attempt at a mic drop that Christians try to use.
Who is the angry one here, Dillon?
Some people are really bothered that some of us like to criticize religion. It’s often those who passively believe, culturally, and don’t ever entrench themselves in the bullshit that a lot of us have seen.
That’s rich, buddy.
Quite comical to say atheists attack other people’s lifestyles while Christians literally never shut up about drag queens, trans people, gay people, women having bodily autonomy, along with their constant need to tell us that we’re living wrong.
So… god sends delusions? God wants me to believe yet also wants me to believe a lie? I guess that makes sense; we’re talking about the dude who hardened Pharaoh’s heart.
These comparisons to breaking the law always crack me up.
It’s not really comparable when one set of laws is given by a sky wizard that no one can see, written by goat-herders, and re-translated many times through the years. Then, his son comes down and gives new laws but also kinda says the old ones are still applicable.
Oh, and this god is also on board with slavery.
This appeal to authority doesn’t work.
So…the only reason you think it’s bad is because god said so?
Or do you not even think it’s bad? Is it God’s will? Does it teach the family a lesson? Is it the sins of the father?
I may have to update my bio.
They realllly hate it when people criticize their religion hahaha
Funny that he asks how many chins I have when I have many videos of myself on social media, and he hides behind a private account that doesn’t show his face.
I’ll leave you with the quote of the week:
No man who ever lived knows any more about the hereafter … than you and I; and all religion … is simply evolved out of chicanery, fear, greed, imagination and poetry.

It combines my two favorite things: dogs and making light of religion.
