What’s up nonbelievers, doubters, and skeptics?
Music is a powerful thing.
An amazing thing.
It moves us.
I got a chance to see one of my favorite bands perform last week, and it was everything I’d hoped it would be.
If you don’t know Empire Of The Sun,
A) You should, and
B) They’re an Australian electronic duo who doesn’t come to the US often, so I had to jump at the chance when they announced the tour back in January.
I’ve dreamt for quite a while about taking a gummy and being in a room with thousands of other Empyreans, and that dream finally came true.
My wonderful fiancee and I experienced a beautiful show—the lights, the graphics, the music, the wardrobes, the fans. Even the opener, Roi Turbo (whom I’d never heard of before), got the place amped up before Empire took the stage.
I’m not ashamed to say that when Empire Of The Sun took the stage, I teared up.
The intro gave me chills.
Now, you may not be into Empire, and that’s cool, but I got goosebumps several times during the show.
That’s what music can do.
You know who else knows that? Churches.
Getting those chills at the concert made me think about how worship leaders 100% know that key changes can produce that same feeling amongst the peeps in the congregation.
When people think they’re feeling god, what they’re really feeling is the power behind the music, the lyrics. It’s dopamine.
They can have it; I’ll stick with my Australian electronic duo.
Merch
If you didn’t know it, I have quite a few merch designs in the store—some new, some old. Go check it out, and see if anything interests you!
Comments From Christians
Today’s comment is a doozy. An absolute Hall of Fame candidate.
First of all, are we talking about Game of Thrones?
I can prove it’s real, too. I can pull up the disappointment of a finale on Max right now.
Sorry, I mean HBO GO.
I mean, HBO Now.
I mean, HBO.
I jest. I know he meant “god,” but his proof seems to be lacking a bit.
His proof is…water bottles?
It goes back to one of the oldest (and worst) “proofs” of god that theists give.
They say things like “buildings have builders, and paintings have painters, therefore Earth had a creator.”
Nah, that’s completely different. We know that people make those things because we can watch it happen.
One of the great things about this planet is that there are so many unknowns. Now, if someone could just relay this info to the people who claim to know god and say that everyone should follow their chosen one.
Thanks for being here.
